Chamber Music at Moritzburg Festival
Feng travels to Moritzburg Castle for a series of chamber music concerts at the annual Moritzburg Festival from 16 August 2017. Feng’s first concert will features a programme of Arensky String Quartet No.2 in A minor and Brahms Piano Quintet in F minor with artists including Lawrence Power on viola and cellist Jan Vogler, the artistic director of the festival.
On 17 August, Feng participates in a public rehearsal concert performing Beethoven String Quintet in C major, and on 18 August he presents a selection of Paganini Caprices in solo recital. Later that day, he performs Rossini String Sonata No.6 in D major and finally on 20 August, the first movement of Mahler Symphony No.5, Adagietto and Mendelssohn’s String Octet in E flat major.
Feng has been busy in the chamber sphere this year, having just released a chamber music disc of Schubert and Dvorák String Quartets for Channel Classics with his quartet, the Dragon Quartet:
