“a precise and passionate account”: Critical praise for Feng’s BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra debut
Feng made his debut with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra on 15 March, performing Bernstein’s Serenade After Plato’s Symposium at Glasgow’s City Halls under the baton of John Wilson.
Feng’s performance was a great critical success, with the Herald Scotland singling him out in their five-star review:
“Chinese violinist Ning Feng… made his SSO debut as soloist here with a precise and passionate account of fascinating virtuoso work in which the composer uses a very particular palette of sounds.”
